After more than two years of comprehensive structural and conceptual renovations, Greenbelt 2 is officially set to reopen its doors this August, unveiling a transformation that reshapes Metro Manila’s premier retail landscape.
Redevelopment for the mall commenced in early 2024; the objective was to shift away from the complex’s history as a casual dining hub and re-emerge as an elevated, high-concept luxury destination. Where sprawling al fresco restaurant patios and casual eateries once dominated the ground level, Greenbelt 2 now presents expanded, world-class retail spaces designed specifically to house global fashion houses, niche luxury labels and meticulously curated lifestyle concepts.

The revamped wing seamlessly connects the existing high-end destinations within the complex through a fluid second-level walkway that opens directly onto Greenbelt 3 and Greenbelt 4. This structural change allows visitors to navigate a continuous expanse of premium retail and lifestyle with ease.

The initial roster of high-profile retail arrivals features avant-garde global fashion pioneers such as Maison Margiela, Comme des Garçons and the Parisian-Japanese lifestyle brand Maison Kitsuné. Joining this fashion lineup is Omotesando Koffee, the Tokyo-born café celebrated worldwide for its sleek, minimalist aesthetic and precise brewing. The complex also teases that it will soon welcome an acclaimed dining institution from Cebu, a refined addition to Greenbelt 2’s food-and-beverage options that balances local heritage and high-end gastronomy.

The upcoming soft opening of Greenbelt 2 serves as a crucial milestone in Ayala Land Inc’s ambitious PHP 17.5 billion portfolio overhaul across its flagship commercial properties. The groundwork for this project began years earlier, when Ayala Land set in motion a broader vision to systematically modernise the entire estate. The first wave of this high-end transformation took shape in late 2021 with the successful revamp of the ground level of Greenbelt 3, followed closely by the structural upgrades to Greenbelt 4 in early 2023.

Just months after the closing of Greenbelt 2 for renovations, the neighbouring Greenbelt 1 closed its doors permanently to begin its own total site demolition—clearing the path for a new multi-use hotel, office and retail complex expected by 2028.
