Ella and Enrique’s wedding was a blend of cherished moments, lively festivities, and enduring love
“It felt like a scene in a telenovela especially when it began to shower,” says Ella Pangilinan Miranda, admitting she was slightly on edge as she walked down the aisle to wed Enrique Miranda. It was one of the most romantic moments of her life, a memory that she would cherish forever. “I got a bit emotional when I saw my dad tear up, and even more when he kissed my hand and gave it to Enrique,” she adds. “I felt all the love from everyone there.”
In case you missed it: Are lavish weddings back?
Enrique and Ella’s story started in November 2017 when Ferdi Salvador, a common family friend, set them up on a blind date. It was a successful match albeit followed by a long-distance relationship as both had to finish their respective studies. Six years later, they’re both starting their respective career paths—Ella in the arts and creative industry, Enrique in business and finance—while building a life together and soon a family.

“Our relationship now is more focused on how to add value to each other and grow together as we pursue our callings,” Ella says.
For their wedding on December 6, 2023, the couple chose a place full of meaning. “Palacio de Memoria was lovingly restored by my mother, Angelique Lhuillier, and my aunt, Camille Lhuillier,” shares Enrique. “It is the only heritage home on Roxas Boulevard with so much history.”

Ella has always loved art, so for their first Valentine’s Day, Enrique took her there while it was still under renovation. “It was so special to see the place bloom since the first time we went,” says Ella. “We wanted to be able to honour our families at our wedding, and choosing this place as the venue was one of the ways we were able to do so.”

All 300 of their guests enjoyed a Filipino culture-themed gathering. In Puerto Real Gardens, before the ceremony, they had taho (soybean delicacy), sorbetes (ice cream) and drinks by Wknd Coffee to keep their tummies sated. They also received umbrellas, parasols and sunglasses from Sunnies Studios.
During the reception, they had access to free-flowing drinks by Cibo, Manila Craft and Ralph’s Wines, a cigar bar by Tabacalera Incorporada and a wedding audio guest book by Voice Bank PH. For the cherry on top, Gary Valenciano, followed by Juan Miguel Salvador and The Authority, got the party started afterwards.

A favourite memory of the couple was “watching everyone not wanting to leave the dancefloor.” Ella says that she loved the energy! All their cherished guests having the time of their lives—totally immersed in joy, laughing and dancing with abandon—is more than they could ask for. “Not many knew about the afterparty in a separate area,” confesses Enrique. “Seeing the reactions of my guests revelling in the festivities lit me up.”
Now that things are official, Enrique and Ella look forward to their married life together. “It’s not just about yourself anymore. It’s about being there for the other person, too, and doing things out of love,” Ella says. “At the end of the day, we both have the Lord in the centre of our relationship to guide us, and we don’t have to figure it all out ourselves. Our decisions and priorities will now align according to God’s will for us.”
