F1 2022賽季熱烈開賽中,而在Netflix紀錄片《Formula 1: Drive to Survive》(F1:飆速求生)推波助瀾下,Volkswagen 福斯汽車集團宣佈旗下保時捷(Porsche)與奧迪(Audi)將自2026年開始參與F1一級方程式賽車,鎖定2026年另一次F1技術規則革新帶來的機會點。

F1一級方程式錦標賽與奧運、世界盃足球賽並稱世界三大賽事,但關注度遠不及後兩者,不過受惠於Netflix平台紀錄片在全球火熱推播下,不僅快速累積了亞洲地域的車迷、更讓美國收視族群增加,今年已有兩場大獎賽於美國境內舉辦,邁阿密賽事將在本週末登場,官方更宣布2023年拉斯維加斯將新增一場夜賽。

Volkswagen 福斯汽車集團執行長 Herbert Diess 於自家 Youtube 頻道公佈此新訊,因看準F1熱潮,期待以加入「全球性」的頂級賽事來提升Volkswagen集團品牌影響力。而選在2026年,是因國際汽車聯盟(FIA)已宣佈F1賽車動力將在2026年做出改變,永續能源為趨勢,而車隊預算上限遞減,讓其他車廠也有機會能進入F1殿堂。因此,不僅汽車市場逐漸走向電動化,賽車活動也面臨節能減碳壓力,具備電動車發展實力的保時捷和奧迪兩個品牌具備極大機會,Herbert Diess也提到,開發一款 F1 引擎的時間大約為 3-4 年,因此現階段決定加入、並於2026年加入F1戰局正是好時機。

而據傳統,每年參與F1賽車約為10隻車隊,據傳Audi很可能收購歷史悠久的英國車隊 McLaren Racing; Porsche 則很可能會與 Red Bull 合作,不過此消息未獲得官方證實。

保時捷有參加過F1嗎?

相對Audi完全未踏入F1世界,保時捷則在1957年至1962年以廠隊身份參加F1賽事,1962年美國車手Dan Guerney拿下法國站的分站冠軍;1965年保時捷首度離開F1,接著在1983年以引擎供應商的身分重返F1,為麥拉倫(McLaren)車隊提供引擎,摘下兩個車隊冠軍,不過當時引擎是以TAG冠名;保時捷1991年曾再度回歸F1,為Ford Walker車隊提供引擎,但成績不理想,之後便再也沒有參與F1賽事。
