Chris Pine leads the cast in this highly anticipated movie adaptation of the popular fantasy role-playing game
The 2022 San Diego Comic-Con (July 21 - 24) has officially begun and this means we will be getting previews and details of some of the most anticipated movie and TV projects this weekend.
The first exciting reveal was the trailer of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, starring Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant, who plays the villain. Fans of Bridgerton will be very happy to know that it also stars Regé-Jean Page.
Capturing the spirit of the fantasy game, the movie is about a group of thieves going on a quest and the various obstacles they face along the way, including many fire-breathing dragons.
During a panel talk with Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con, director and writer Jonathan Goldsteins described the movie as "a heist set in a fantasy environment. We wanted to tell a tale about some flawed characters, none of them are superheroes. Because when you play D&D, you roll your character's character and you don't always get a '20'.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is scheduled for release in March 2023.
