1. Young People's Concert: Once Upon A Chinese Orchestra

What In a bid to explain the origin and evolution of the Chinese orchestra, a two-day concert helmed by Moses Gay, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra's assistant conductor, seeks to encourage more youths to discover this genre of music for themselves. "For this concert, I believe that the biggest challenge is to overcome the stereotype that Chinese orchestra is old-fashioned, and that it is for old people," said Gay, "but through the use of multimedia, it will help to enhance the experience for the young people when they come to watch this concert."

2. Variations on Symmetry

What Indonesian artist Albert Yonathan Setyawan explores the relationship between geometry and materiality through symmetry in his own solo exhibition at Mizuma Gallery, Gillman Barracks. Beyond the rigid and sterile confines of symmetry, he believes that its decorative form of repetition brings out a meditative quality and religious association, factions that he hopes to explore in the exhibition.
