There are exhibitions to see, including one by an Indonesian artist and also a British sculptor, as well as a concert to attend. And this continues throughout the month of November, which is packed with cultural events including the highly-anticipated Singapore International Film Festival 2019.

1. Young People's Concert: Once Upon A Chinese Orchestra
What In a bid to explain the origin and evolution of the Chinese orchestra, a two-day concert helmed by Moses Gay, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra's assistant conductor, seeks to encourage more youths to discover this genre of music for themselves. "For this concert, I believe that the biggest challenge is to overcome the stereotype that Chinese orchestra is old-fashioned, and that it is for old people," said Gay, "but through the use of multimedia, it will help to enhance the experience for the young people when they come to watch this concert."
