Luxury watchmaker, Jaeger-LeCoultre collaborates with Finch & Partners for the second edition of “The Art of Behind The Scenes” exhibition.
Ever wondered what it was like to be on the set with Alfred Hitchcock? Or stand next to Marilyn Monroe while she was filming the 1961 classic, The Misfits? Come May, you’ll be able to visit “The Art of Behind The Scenes” exhibition and view selected photographs that depict what live is truly like at a film set — thanks to Jaeger-LeCoultre and creative agency, Finch & Partners.

The series of exclusive and mostly never-been-exhibited-before pictures were taken by some of the world’s most accomplished “on-set” photographers. They’ll transport visitors back to the glorious era of filmmaking where visitors will find familiar faces including actors and directors like Marilyn Monroe (The Seven Year Itch), Michelangelo Antonioni (L’Eclisse) and Alfred Hitchcock (Psycho and Rebecca).
Additionally, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Compass camera — a 1938 creation — will be shown at the exhibition, along with a collection of photographs shot by the camera and show various locations that served as backdrops of many iconic movies.
“Haute Horlogerie and the worlds of cinema and photography share common values: both create dreams and a sense of wonder through aesthetic and technical mastery,” says Daniel Riedo, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre. “Jaeger-LeCoultre draws upon the talent of its many artisans to create exceptional watch objects, just as it takes talented writers, directors, actors and technicians to produce a work of filmmaking art. It is all about two worlds infused with creative ingenuity,” says Daniel Riedo, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre.
The vernissage will be held at the Hôtel du Cap (Antibes) on 13 May 2016 to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival. The exhibition will then be displayed for a week.
