1. Young Royals

Young Royals is the newest series that takes us into the affluent and complicated life of the rich. It follows Prince Wilhelm as he adjusts to life at his new prestigious boarding school, Hillerska. Finally getting an opportunity to explore his true self and find out what kind of life he really wants, Wilhelm starts dreaming of a future filled with freedom and unconditional love that's far away from royal obligations.

But following his heart proves complicated as he unexpectedly becomes the next in line for the throne. What will he choose: love or duty?

2. The 8th Night

After The Call, Netflix is trying its hand in another Korean horror movie with The 8th Night. It tells the story of a life-or-death battle spanning eight days in order to prevent the breaking of the seal that restrains "That Which Must Not Be Awaken".

Once it's awakened, it can cross the stepping stones to wreak havoc on this world. A young monk, a guardian, two police detectives and a mysterious young girl join hands to stop the world from facing the apocalypse.

Release date: July 2

3. The Fear Street Trilogy

It's not yet October but if you can't wait for Halloween, the Fear Street trilogy is a must watch this month. Each part of the trilogy will be airing on three consecutive Fridays with the Fear Street Part 1: 1994 released on July 2. After a series of brutal slayings, a teen and her friends take on an evil force that's plagued their notorious town, Shadyside for centuries.

The timeline seems to move backwards for Fear Street Part 2: 1978, where a killer's murder spree has terrorised Camp Nightwing and turned a summer of fun into a gruesome fight for survival. Finally, Fear Street Part 3: 1666 will show the merciless world of 1666 which holds the truth behind a powerful curse and the key to the town's future.

4. You Are My Spring

You Are My Spring is the newest K-drama to grace our screens this month. This drama is about  Kang Da-jeong (Seo Hyun-jin), a concierge at a five-star hotel who finds herself forming a heartfelt bond with Joo Young-do (Kim Dong-wook), a psychiatrist and Chae Joon (Yoon Park), the CEO of an investment company. As Chae starts catching feelings for Kang, the latter finds herself in the heart of a perplexing mystery along with her neighbour Joo when they witness a murder at their apartment building.

Helmed by director Jung Ji-hyun who worked on Korean Netflix hits, The King: Eternal Monarch and Mr. Sunshine, gear up to unravel the mystery on You Are My Spring.

5. The Water Man

The Water Man is a family-friendly movie to watch this summer, centring around Gunner (Lonnie Chavis) who sets out on a quest to save his ill mother (Rosario Dawson) by searching for a mythic figure who possesses the secret to immortality, the Water Man. After enlisting the help of a mysterious local girl, Jo (Amiah Miller), they journey together into the remote Wild Horse forest but the deeper they go, the stranger and more dangerous it becomes.

Their only hope for rescue is Gunner's father (David Oyelowo), who will stop at nothing to find them and in the process, will discover who his son really is.

Release date: July 9

6. Heist

Heist is a Netflix documentary is produced by 2021's Oscar-winning Best Short Film, Two Distant Strangers and Emmy nominated director, Derek Doneen. It chronicles three of the biggest heists in modern American history—explained by the very same people that pulled them off.

In one of them, a 21-year-old woman steals millions in Vegas casino cash, another is an aspiring father who swipes a fortune from the Miami airport and even uses the TV shows to learn how to get away with it. Finally, a Kentucky dad is accused of committing one of the biggest bourbon burglaries in history. 

The documentary will use dynamic reenactments, original interviews and a fast-paced style that fits into the cinematic canon of heist films such as Ocean's Eleven and Catch Me If You Can.

7. Never Have I Ever Season 2

Teen drama Never Have I Ever is back after a successful first season run. We follow Devi and her high school adventures: a new love life, a new classmate and new reasons to bicker more with her Mum. Devi is ready to make more courageous moves...and questionable decisions particularly on who she's going to date. Place your bets, are you team Ben, team Paxton...or team Devi?

8. Sexy Beasts

Sexy Beasts is taking dating shows to another level. Hoping to say goodbye to superficial dating, real-life singles sport elaborate makeup and prosthetics to put true blind-date chemistry to the test. Will they find love purely based on personality? We'll have to watch and see.

9. Kingdom: Ashin of the North

Kingdom: Ashin of the North is the highly-anticipated sidequel to the Kingdom series, exploring the origins of the resurrection plant and the mysterious woman, Ashin. This special episode speaks of tragedy, betrayal and a mysterious discovery fuelled by a woman's vengeance for the loss of her tribe and family.

10. The Last Letter From Your Lover

This romantic movie, based on the novel by JoJo Moyes follows two interwoven stories set in the past and present. Ellie Haworth (Felicity Jones) is an ambitious journalist who discovers a trove of secret love letters from 1965 and becomes determined to solve the mystery of the forbidden affair.

As she uncovers the story behind Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley), the wife of a wealthy industrialist and Anthony O'Hare (Callum Turner), the financial journalist assigned to cover him—a love story of Ellie's own begins to unfold with the assistance of an earnest and endearing archivist (Nabhaan Rizwan), who helps her track down more letters.
