The Straw Hat crew returns to Netflix this March as the live-action adaptation charts a course into the treacherous Grand Line to face the lethal assassins of Baroque Works
The sophomore outing of Netflix’s seafaring hit arrives on March 10, 2026. Following a debut that dominated global charts and secured an early third-season renewal, the production now turns its focus toward the Grand Line. This stretch of ocean serves as the setting for the next chapter of Monkey D Luffy’s quest to become King of the Pirates.
Inaki Godoy returns as the rubber-bodied captain, joined by Mackenyu, Taz Skylar, Emily Rudd and Jacob Romero. While the core crew remains intact, the narrative scope expands. The story moves away from the East Blue to introduce a clandestine syndicate known as Baroque Works. This group of assassins operates under aliases, and their presence defines the upcoming conflict.

Netflix recently confirmed the actors stepping into these antagonistic roles. David Dastmalchian joins the cast as the wax-manipulating Mr 3, while Camrus Johnson and Jazzara Jaslyn portray the duo Mr 5 and Miss Valentine. Daniel Lasker appears as Mr 9, and Sophia Anne Caruso takes on the role of Miss Goldenweek.
Two additions carry significant weight for the plot. Charithra Chandran will play Miss Wednesday, a character with layers that often surprise those unfamiliar with the source manga. Lera Abova joins as the enigmatic Miss All-Sunday. Her arrival signals a shift in tone for the series as the stakes move beyond simple piracy into the realm of political conspiracy.

The scale of this adaptation remains immense. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga, which has moved half a billion copies, the show holds a rare position as a successful live-action translation of Japanese media. Tomorrow Studios and Shueisha continue their partnership to ensure the world of the Grand Line retains the spirit of the original text.
Fans can expect the same commitment to practical effects and world-building seen in the first season. With the Rise of the Baroques teaser now public, the countdown to the March premiere begins.
