The reality star and her rapper husband have been married for seven years
It's official: Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye West after seven years of marriage. Rumours had been swirling, especially in recent months, that the couple's relationship was rocky and they were headed for a divorce, but it had not been confirmed. A court clerk for Los Angeles Superior Court confirmed the news to CNN on Friday. A spokesperson for Kardashian also finally confirmed the divorce filing with multiple news outlets but did not offer anymore comment. West has not released a statement.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at a castle in Florence, Italy back in 2014. They share four kids together: North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, 20 months.
According to CNN, the filing cites irreconcilable differences and Kardashian is seeking joint custody of their children. It also cites a prenuptial agreement regarding their assets.

Together, the couple were frequently in the news when it comes to their luxurious lifestyles, fashion and home decor. Kardashian had said she had a complete wardrobe makeover once she started dating West, who frequently styled her and made her his muse for his multi-billion dollar fashion label Yeezy. Their famed wabi-sabi-inspired, minimalist Calabasas mansion designed by Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt took seven years to be completed, but gained all the attention it deserved after.
