Don’t miss: Here’s where you’ve seen Lee Chae-min of ‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty’ before

‘Tempest’ (2025)

Above ‘Tempest’ is a political thriller led by Hallyu superstars Jun Ji-hyun ang Gang Dong-won.

It may be worlds apart from Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, but Tempest promises just as much intrigue and emotional intensity. When her husband, a presidential candidate, is assassinated in broad daylight, diplomat Seo Mun-ju (Jun Ji-hyun) is thrust into a deadly web of political intrigue. Teaming up with intelligence officer Paik San-ho (Gang Dong-won), the pair must uncover the truth before chaos erupts on the peninsula. Along the way, their professional partnership sparks undeniable chemistry, leading to an unexpected romance. Starring two of South Korea’s biggest superstars, Tempest is a high-stakes political thriller where love, loyalty and survival collide.

‘A Hundred Memories’ (2025)

Above Go back to 1980s Seoul in Kim Da-mi’s latest K-drama.

There’s no time travel in A Hundred Memories, but it still takes viewers back to a pivotal era. Set in 1980s Seoul, this nostalgic yet hard-hitting series follows two female bus conductors, Go Young-rye (Kim Da-mi) and Seo Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun), who form an unbreakable bond amid economic hardship and social inequality; against a backdrop of sexism, poverty and abuse, the series explores resilience, ambition and friendship. A shared first love—Han Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun)—adds a poignant love triangle element, but what will keep audiences hooked is the fierce, unwavering friendship between Young-rye and Jong-hee.

‘My Youth’

Above Song Joong-ki returns in your next binge-watch after ‘Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.’

Song Joong-ki returns to the screen in the romantic melodrama My Youth, playing Sunwoo Hae, a one-time child star who has turned his back on fickle fame and has moved on from his difficult teen years to live a quiet life as a florist and, secretly, a novelist. But leaving his past behind also meant losing touch with his first love, Sung Je-yeon (Chun Woo-hee). When she reappears in his life, it gives the two a second chance at romance. Unfortunately, Hae’s troubles are far from over, and new challenges threaten to keep them apart.

‘The Murky Stream’

Above Rowoon is barely recognisable in his latest K-drama.

In his latest K-drama, Rowoon sheds his K-pop idol charisma and romantic lead persona to play down-on-his-luck Jang Si-yul. The drama’s synopsis may describe Si-yul as a wastrel, but he is more a victim of unfortunate circumstances and the injustices of the world he lives in. There is nobility and dignity in him, but it is hard to be honourable when you are starving and destitute. When he reunites with his step-brother Jung Chun (Park Seo-ham) and crosses paths with Choi Eun (Shin Ye-eun), their fates intertwine as they join forces to right wrongs, confront corruption and navigate a world stacked against them. For those looking for their next sageuk binge-watch after Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, The Murky Stream is just the thing to add to the list.
