Tatler’s guide to the top international acts and K-pop icons performing across Hong Kong from August through December 2026
Hong Kong’s live music schedule is packed for the second half of 2026, featuring a lavish lineup of global superstars, chart-topping K-pop acts and acclaimed bands from the region. Major stadium runs anchor this season’s calendar, highlighted by Post Malone bringing his genre-blending catalogue, The Weeknd delivering four nights of his massive After Hours Til Dawn production, and K-pop icons Bigbang taking over for their 20th anniversary tour.
Across AsiaWorld-Expo, Kai Tak Stadium and MacPherson Stadium, concertgoers have a wide range of performances to look forward to between August and December. Read on to learn about seven of the most anticipated shows coming to the city, complete with career milestones, show dates and venue details.

Illit
Above Illit brings their signature synth-pop sound to Hong Kong for the first time on August 22 and 23.
Formed under the Hybe-owned label Belift Lab, the five-member K-pop group Illit made history with their 2024 debut single Magnetic, which became the first debut track by a K-pop group to enter the US Billboard Hot 100. The song also charted on the UK Official Singles Chart and set the record as the fastest K-pop debut song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify. Known for their light synth-pop sound and Y2K aesthetic, their live show features sharp choreography and high-energy pop production.

Novelbright
Above Led by vocalist Yudai Takenaka, Novelbright plays a two-night run at the 1,850-capacity MacPherson Stadium in August.
Hailing from Osaka, Novelbright is a five-piece J-rock band led by vocalist Yudai Takenaka. The group won the Japan Gold Disc Award for Best 5 New Artists after their 2018 hit Walking with You became the first song by an indie artist to achieve the Recording Industry Association of Japan’s streaming certification. Their 2020 ballad Tsukimisou went on to earn Diamond streaming status in Japan. Their MacPherson Stadium show will highlight Takenaka's vocal range alongside the band’s signature mix of rock riffs and string arrangements.

Post Malone
Above Post Malone is the second Western act to headline Kai Tak Stadium, following Coldplay’s four dates in April 2025.
Post Malone holds the record for the most RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) Diamond-certified singles in music history, led by multi-platinum hits like Sunflower, Rockstar and Circles. Over his 15-year career, the ten-time Grammy nominee has topped the Billboard Hot 100 across hip-hop, rock and country genres. His headlining date at Kai Tak Stadium covers his full back catalogue with a large-scale stadium production setup.

The Weeknd
Above The ‘Blinding Lights’ singer is scheduled for four dates at Kai Tak Stadium this October.
Abel Tesfaye, performing as The Weeknd, brings his long-running After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour to Hong Kong. A four-time Grammy winner and Oscar nominee, he became the first artist in Spotify history to surpass 100 million monthly listeners, while his hit Blinding Lights was named Billboard’s #1 Hot 100 Song of All Time and became the first track to cross 4 billion Spotify streams. His four-night stand at Kai Tak Stadium will feature an elaborate, monochromatic production design built around his dark R&B and synthwave catalogue.

Bigbang
Above The K-pop pioneers return to Hong Kong for a three-night 20th anniversary residency at Kai Tak Stadium in November.
Regarded as one of the most successful boy bands in music history with over 140 million records sold worldwide, Bigbang returns for their 20th anniversary tour. The group was the first Korean act to win Best Worldwide Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the first Korean group to land on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. Featuring G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, their three-night residency at Kai Tak Stadium looks back at two decades of chart-topping singles and arena production.

Joji
Above Joji takes the stage at AsiaWorld-Expo on November 29.
Previously signed to Asian American record label 88rising, Japanese singer-songwriter Joji became the first Asian-born artist to top Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with his 2018 album Ballads 1. His 2022 single Glimpse of Us reached #1 on Spotify’s Global Chart and peaked inside the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning multi-platinum certifications worldwide. His performance at AsiaWorld-Expo delivers an atmospheric live set built around his downtempo R&B and lo-fi pop releases.

Khalid
Above The Texan singer-songwriter stops by Hong Kong on his Asia tour, which also covers Bangkok, Singapore and Tokyo.
American R&B singer Khalid broke out with his 2017 debut single Location, which is certified Diamond (10x Platinum) by the RIAA. A six-time Grammy nominee and winner of six Billboard Music Awards, his sophomore album Free Spirit debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Expect a clean stage layout and a setlist focused on his mid-tempo R&B hits and radio singles.
