After picking up all four awards they were nominated for, BTS debuted their record-breaking new single, Butter, on the global stage
This weekend, BTS broke a YouTube record for the most views in a 24-hour period with the music video for their new single Butter—a record that was previously held by none other than themselves. Butter is the band's follow-up English track to Dynamite and had garnered over 108.2 million views in 24 hours, according to Youtube’s public views counter. Dynamite racked up 101.1 million in its first 24 hours.

And now, the band has debuted their very first live performance for Butter at the Billboard Music Awards 2021 (BBMAs) stage today.
Performing remotely in South Korea, the Grammy-nominated septet pulled off yet another smooth-like-Butter performance for the television debut of their new single. The Louis Vuitton ambassadors kept it sleek and simple in all-black suits, although they each wore different jackets—from leather on Jungkook to gold-trimmed lapels as seen on Jin.
The performance started out at what looked like a makeshift studio in a warehouse and made several transitions to other “locations” such as the Billboard Music Awards red carpet and ended on a huge stage—fitting for a band that keeps sweeping awards and breaking records as they make their moves all over the world.
Their live performance followed a night of wins as they picked up all four awards that they were nominated for: Top Social Artist, Top Duo/Group, Top Selling Song and Top Song Sales Artist.
