1. Urbanski Family Weekend

What There are very few things in the world that could beat the exhilaration of gliding down a snow-capped peak, but because we live in the tropics—it takes great effort to keep up with the sport of skiing. Cue Urbanski, a sports company that seeks to bring the concept of rollerskiing, which is basically skiing on wheels, to town. Located at Dhoby Ghaut Green this weekend, avid skiers, or those who are simply curious and interested in the sport, now have the opportunity to experience gliding down a 38-degree bunny slope. On top of that, participants can strap on their skis or rollerblades to take part in a retro-revival of a mini Formula 1 race track for maximum fun and excitement.

Also available at the event is a giant twister game and other exciting games. With a live DJ helming the deck at the picnic zone, fitness activities like Zumba and yoga sessions, there is something for everyone at the Urbanski Family Weekend

3. Japan Summer Festival 2019

What Following the success of last year's Summer Festival that attracted close to 45,000 visitors, the Japanese Association of Singapore brings its flagship event back to the National Stadium this year, over a period of two days. With over 100 Japanese food stalls serving up authentic Japanese cuisine—think bowls of hearty ramen and delectable mochi desserts—as well as traditional games testing one's skills of precision and luck, get a taste of Japanese culture with your loved ones this weekend. Apart from that, Pokémon fans would not want to miss watching a fleet of Pikachus dancing in a parade, and the traditional Bon Odori dance which is to honour the spirits of one's ancestors, according to Japanese Buddhist custom.
