Keep reading to find out which shows have had their release dates moved

Wednesdays are the new Fridays as Disney+ announces they will now begin releasing their original series episodes on Wednesdays instead of Fridays.

The news comes shortly after Disney+ tested the waters by moving the launch of Loki, their latest Marvel Studies series from June 11, which was a Friday, to June 9, a Wednesday.

Clearly, it was a success because Loki continues to perform well and Disney+ has decided to make this a standard going forward.

1. Monsters at Work

Monsters at Work is an upcoming animated series that takes place a day after the Monsters Incorporated power plant started collecting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis.

It follows Tylor Tuskmon, a young monster who is top of his class at Monster University and who dreams of becoming a Scarer. Unfortunately, Scaring is a thing of the past and Tylor finds himself reassigned to work with a group of mechanics as he sets his sights on becoming a Jokester. 

The series, which was originally set to premiere on July 7, will now launch on July 2. 

2. Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life

There is no doubt that Chip 'n' Dale played a huge part in most of our childhoods which is why we could not be more excited that Disney+ is bringing them back with a new animated series on their streaming service.

Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life follows the chipmunks as they try to live in a big city park. The pair, who are constantly at odds, will be joined by Pluto, Butch and other iconic Disney characters as they tackle all the challenges of living in the city.  

The show was originally meant to come out on July 23 but will see its release date moved to July 28.

3. Growing Up Animal

National Geographic fans will be excited by this upcoming release which is set to tell the story of baby animals from the time that they are in the womb till they are out and growing up.

The series is set to have six episodes with each one following the journey of a different animal and its mother. 

The show is being created by Warner Brothers’ Wall To Wall unit and was filmed in places such as Africa and Canada which means that it promises to be a real treat for animal lovers.

The series, which was due to be released on August 20, will now come out on August 18.

4. Short Circuit season two

Short Circuit is a series of animated short films that have been produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. It features ideas that have been pitched and then worked on by employees of the company, aiming to take loads of visual styling and storytelling risks.

The first batch of films was released on Disney+ on January 24 and the second season will see its release date move from July 30 to August 4.
