Cartier dominates the red carpet at the 2025 Weibo Gala & Shanghai International Film Festival

A longtime friend of the French maison, actress Qi Xi embraced two distinct styles for the major film occasions. At Weibo Night 2025, she captivated in a gown that was both classic and bold. The off-shoulder design featured asymmetrical lines, with a single ruffle that emphasised her delicate shoulders. A thigh-high slit added subtle movement and a touch of allure. She finished the look with a pair of [Sur]naturel pendant earrings, crafted from white gold and set with diamonds, onyx and emeralds.

At the Shanghai International Film Festival’s opening ceremony, Qi Xi chose a tailored black off-the-shoulder gown that framed her neckline beautifully. This understated silhouette allowed her jewellery to shine: a Clash de Cartier set of rose gold earrings and diamond-encrusted rings. Adding further drama, she layered on pieces from the [Sur]naturel collection, including bracelets and necklaces fashioned from rose gold, coral, mother-of-pearl and diamonds, forming a cohesive and enchanting whole.

Li Xian matched the ladies in sartorial finesse, standing out with his polished, considered aesthetic. The actor wore a navy blue suit paired with a neutral plaid shirt, a look that merged elegance with ease. His ensemble was elevated by a Libre Tutti Frutti brooch, crafted in rhodium-plated white gold and centred around a green chrysoprase framed with black onyx and diamonds. A Santos de Cartier watch provided the final touch.

In addition to his red carpet moment at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Li Xian also opted for the brand’s signature Love ring and Santos de Cartier watch during the press conference for the Cannes premiere of She Got’s No Name in 2024.

Under the media spotlight, veteran actress Yong Mei exuded grace in Cartier’s Grain de Café jewellery. She wore a pair of earrings in 18k white and yellow gold, each delicately dotted with diamonds. A platinum ring, minimalist in form yet adorned with diamonds, added just enough radiance without detracting from the overall elegance.

Echoing Li Xian’s refined style, actor Zhang Yu incorporated the Géométrie & Contrastes brooch by Cartier into his look. Made of white gold, this striking piece marries the depth of onyx with the brilliance of diamonds. To complete the outfit, he selected the large version of the Tank Normale watch, distinguished by its platinum case, classic leather strap and hand-wound mechanical movement—a timepiece that reflects both his polished image and enduring taste.

Appearing alongside the Easternmost Island team at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Ni Ni lit up the scene in a pink satin gown from Tamara Ralph’s Haute Couture collection. Elevating her appearance, the leading actress of The Rise of Phoenixes styled her look with rose gold jewellery from the Panthère de Cartier collection, including a ring, earrings and necklace in a matching tone that echoed the hues of her gown.

At the 2025 Weibo Film Gala, Ni Ni took a different approach in a tailored white suit paired with a low-cut black top to add contrast. This ensemble was elevated by three accessories from the Panthère de Cartier line: earrings in white gold, a sapphire-set platinum ring, and an emerald brooch that added the final flourish.
