The wait is over. BTS returns this March with a global live performance from Seoul and a raw documentary following their journey back to the stage
The long-awaited second chapter of BTS has finally arrived. In a move that has sent the global Army into a predictable frenzy, Netflix and Hybe have announced a monumental partnership to broadcast the group’s return to the world stage. Titled BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, the event will stream exclusively on Netflix on March 21 at 7pm (PHT)—a date that is surely already being circled in purple ink across the globe.
Broadcast from the historic Gwanghwamun in Seoul, the performance serves as the grand unveiling for the band’s fifth studio album, Arirang. For the first time since the members completed their mandatory military service, RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will stand together as a full septet. The album is a reflective exploration of the group’s identity and roots, serving as the foundation for a massive world tour set to span 82 shows across 34 regions through 2027.

The celebration continues on March 27, with the premiere of BTS: The Return. Directed by the acclaimed Bao Nguyen—the visionary behind The Greatest Night in Pop—this feature-length documentary offers a vulnerable, behind-the-scenes look at the group’s reunion in Los Angeles. The film chronicles their transition from the quietude of military life back to the high-stakes environment of global pop royalty. It promises to capture the laughter, the doubt and the unbreakable brotherhood that has defined their journey since 2013.

This broadcast is a landmark for Netflix as well, marking its first-ever live event produced in Korea for a global audience. Under the direction of Hamish Hamilton, the production is poised to capture the electric energy of a band that has become the definitive voice of a generation. For Army, the final week of March is a calling—a homecoming for the icons who proved that time apart only makes the reunion more powerful.
