A beloved book already comes with a world, characters and a loyal readership, but a television adaptation can expand that story across multiple episodes, giving viewers more time to live with the characters and see their favourite moments unfold. Of course, that also means fans will be watching closely to see what stays faithful to the page and what gets changed for the screen.
From recent releases to highly anticipated adaptations, here are the latest book-to-TV adaptations on Amazon Prime Video, including the books they are based on, the cast bringing them to life and what fans can expect from each story.

‘Every Year After’
