Bigbang member Taeyang and South Korean actress Min Hyo Rin are officially parents to a baby boy as of December 6, according to Taeyang’s agency YG Entertainment.

“Taeyang’s wife Min Hyo Rin recently gave birth to a healthy son,” it confirmed after a report surfaced on Hankook Ilbo, a Korean daily newspaper in Seoul.

YG Entertainment added that both mother and son are doing well and are healthy.

However, not much else has been released about the couple’s first child as they are trying to maintain their privacy. 

Min and Taeyang started dating in 2014 after they met on the set of  Taeyang’s 1AM music video.

They dated for about four years before tying the knot in February 2018 in a private church ceremony.

In September this year, reports emerged that Min was pregnant and that she would be giving birth soon. This was later confirmed by her agency. 

Currently, Taeyang is preparing for the release of an upcoming Bigbang album while Min is reportedly taking a step back from acting to focus on motherhood. 

The actress is well known for her roles in films such as Age of Milk, Twenty, The Grand Heist and Uhm Bok-dong.
