Representation matters! From Asian Americans to nominees from South Korea and the Philippines, Asian pride is strong this year

Ahead of the 80th Golden Globes, which celebrates the best in movies and American television, taking place on January 10, 2023 (January 11 at 9am in Hong Kong) we look at the Asian artists and projects that have been nominated.

Hollywood still has a long way to go before representation, both behind and in front of the camera, is genuine, and work by people of colour is given equal recognition, but in the meantime, every little step in that direction should be celebrated. This year, there is a lot to be proud of in terms of Asian representation at the Golden Globes, what with Everything Everywhere All at Once being nominated in five categories, and Asians being nominated in three other major categories.
