1. Climate S.O.S
What Climate change is real and that has been a hot topic over the past year. Within the last few months, we have seen a wide range of examples of its impact on nature and our communities. Case in point: the devastating Amazon rainforest fire since early August. Therefore, the ArtScience Museum at the Marina Bay Sands has taken the lead on presenting specially curated exhibitions to inspire gallery-goers to take action for nature in an effort to raise awareness of these important global environmental issues.
In partnership with Singapore-based media company Eco-Business, the museum will showcase the beauty of the North Pole and spark conversations to save all that it has to offer. Through a series of multimedia works, audiences can enjoy content ranging from photographic prints to a VR experience on climate crises, which are shot and produced by a team of award-winning journalists. During this experience, participants will witness the sheer magnificence of the region, and hopefully, be inspired to delve deeper into the climate change conversation.
Apart from that, there are various other highlights to enjoy at the museum. This includes a joint collaboration between Singapore-based creative technology studio, MeshMinds, and homegrown digital artist André Wee, who will present a digital artwork named CleanSeas AR to raise awareness about plastic pollution in the Earth's large water bodies.
