Rockwell’s state-of-the-art Proscenium Theater continues its dedication to promoting world-class Philippine arts and culture through a concert series on November 14 to 16, headlined by no other than the National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab.
Since its grand opening on September 26 with The Bodyguard The Musical, the Proscenium Theater has been praised for its acoustics, interiors and technical equipment. Now, it sets the stage for the country’s living music legend and beloved purveyor of distinctive Filipino music and artists with a series of performances from some of the country’s beloved music icons.

Cayabyab unites a powerhouse lineup of some of the most celebrated vocalists in the country for his MaestroClass concert series, including Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha and the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, a vocal group personally handpicked by the Maestro himself and has endured an excellent career in theatre and concert halls since 2007.
Housed within the intimate 780-seat Proscenium Theater, Cayabyab’s MaestroClass concert series promises a singular musical experience. The venue itself is a masterpiece, being the only theatre in the country built with natural acoustics. Adding to the prestige, the theatre boasts of a Steinway piano—the first to be permanently housed in a Philippine theatre that we first witnessed in action during one of the key scenes from The Bodyguard The Musical of 9 Works Theatrical.

Cayabyab shares his excitement over playing the theatre’s Steinway piano—a much-anticipated pairing of world-class artistry and state-of-the-art acoustic technology that will affirm Proscenium Theater’s status as a sought-after destination for music and culture today in the heart of Metro Manila.
“The MaestroClass concert series opens its doors not only to music lovers but to anyone who wants to be part of an intimate encounter with National Artist Ryan Cayabyab,” writes the theatre’s management in a statement. “Under Mr C’s direction, audiences are invited to go beyond simply watching a performance—to listen closely, learn from his artistry and experience the depth of his music alongside world-class voices coming together in one [stage].”
