Direct from a run at the Sydney Opera House, Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular production of Boublil & Schönberg’s Miss Saigon will come to Manila in March 2024

The beloved musical Miss Saigon is set to take the stage at The Theatre in Solaire this March 2024. Cameron Mackintosh’s production has just completed a triumphant run at the Sydney Opera House to wide critical acclaim.

Mackintosh shares, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing my spectacular new production of Miss Saigon to Manila. Without a doubt, it is the best production of Saigon I have ever produced, with one of the most brilliant casts that have ever performed the show around the world. I can’t envisage another show of this scale being done in Manila for the foreseeable future.”

"Miss Saigon has given Filipino talents like Lea Salonga, Jon Jon Briones, Joanna Ampil, and Rachelle Ann Go a platform to showcase their extraordinary skills and passion, and we're excited to welcome a new company of world-class performers to share the new staging of this phenomenal production," says Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG Productions.

Salonga originated the role of Kim in the 1989 London production of Miss Saigon. In 1991, at only 20 years of age, she became the first actress of Asian descent to win a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical.
