Celebrating the 20th anniversary of her 2005 album, ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’, Mariah Carey returns to the Philippines
One of the best-selling female artists and undisputed “greatest of all time”, Mariah Carey, is hitting the Philippine stage on October 14, with The Celebration of Mimi Tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. With over 220 million records sold worldwide, five Grammy Awards, a Grammy Global Impact Award, 10 American Music Awards, and 19 World Music Awards, among many other accolades, Carey has inspired millions with her iconic songs, such as All I Want For Christmas Is You, We Belong Together, and Obsessed.

Debuting in 1990 with a self-titled album, Carey quickly rose to fame as the sole artist to have her first five singles top the charts in the US. She would continue this momentum with the release of Music Box in 1993 and Daydream in 1995, garnering international recognition which would lead to her having eleven consecutive years of US number-one singles.

The Celebration of Mimi Tour is a homage to her 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi, which now marks its 20th anniversary. The concert was initially a residency at Dolby Live in the Las Vegas Valley in 2024 and has evolved into a full-blown world tour—bringing Carey’s unique flair across the globe. The setlist of the April 2024 concert included Visions of Love, Emotions, Always Be My Baby, and We Belong Together, to name a few, and fans can expect their reprisal in the upcoming shows.
