The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) and León Gallery celebrate 10 years of partnership, granting talented Filipino artists the opportunity to expand their artistic horizons beyond the grassroots
The works of Jose Joya, Roberto Chabet, and Anita Magsaysay-Ho will be auctioned by León Gallery and the Asian Cultural Council as part of their mission to provide deserving Filipino artists with opportunities to showcase and develop their talents abroad.
This auction is especially meaningful as León Gallery and the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) mark 10 years of collaboration, highlighting their continued commitment to uplifting Filipino artists and the local art scene.
“The past 10 years have been fruitful; collaborating with the ACC in their pursuit of granting numerous talented Filipino artists the opportunity to spread their creative wings abroad has always been our utmost privilege,” says León Gallery director Jaime Ponce de León.
“Monumental pieces await in honour of this moment in our fruitful relationship,” he adds.

The works of National Artist Jose Joya, Roberto Chabet, and Riel Hilario, all of whom were former ACC grantees, will be featured in the auction.
The pieces going under the block include Joya's Evening in Shanghai, Roberto Chabet's Pillow Series, and Hilario's mixed media work tackling the intersection of folk art and spirituality.
The auction will also include Anita Magsaysay-Ho's On The Beach and Mother and Child, Vicente Manansala’s 1957 Dambana, Fernando Zóbel’s Septiembre, a las siete de la tarde, en Tres Juncos, Juan Luna’s Portrait of Irene della Rocca, Ang Kiukok's Android, and Elmer Borlongan’s Pahinga.

The ACC auction is happening on February 22, 2025, 2pm at Eurovilla 1, Rufino Corner Legazpi Streets, Legazpi Village in Makati City. Preview week is from February 15 to 21, 2025 from 9am to 7pm.
