Kultura rings in 20 years of promoting Filipino culture through the works of local brands and artisans
Kultura celebrated 20 years as a true cultural establishment of the Philippines in an event held last July 11 at SM Mall of Asia. The lifestyle brand has long heralded Filipino artistry and continues to dedicate itself to championing the livelihoods of local vendors and artisans.
Born with the simple mission to celebrate Filipino handicrafts, Kultura has transcended its origins as a small space within Shoemart. The lifestyle retailer has grown significantly over the years, now with 48 stores nationwide under its name.
The event gathered longtime patrons, esteemed vendors and members of partner organisations to the premises of Mall of Asia, home to Kultura's sprawling flagship store.

At the event, actress and entrepreneur Marian Rivera was named as Kultura’s brand ambassador. Rivera was treated to a tour of Kultura's Mall of Asia flagship store, where she explored its extensive lineup of products and mingled with fans.
As part of Rivera's responsibilities as brand ambassador, she will be introducing Kultura's newest collections of South Sea, freshwater and baroque pearls throughout the year. She will also continue to promote Filipiniana as part of women's wardrobe essentials.

This marks the second time Rivera has served as the face of Kultura. Her first tenure back in 2018 also showcased the actress modelling the brand's renowned line of pearls. For years, Rivera has been an advocate for traditional Filipino dress, having been spotted throughout her career in various iterations of filipiniana.
