The global French musical tradition returns this June as FetePH2026 transforms into a massive, month-long cultural movement offering free performances across the country

Fête de la Musique Philippines officially returns this June for its 32nd edition. Operating under the theme “For the People, By the People”, this year’s festival celebrates its evolution from a single-stage event into a sprawling, community-led powerhouse.

FetePH2026 aims to unite music lovers, artists and cultural advocates across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. As always, the event remains entirely free and open to everyone, presented by Alliance Française de Manille, alongside co-presenters Funkybeat Entertainment and the Embassy of France to the Philippines.

The highlight of FetePH2026 will be the Main Stage, set to take over the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City on Saturday, June 20. Integrated into the vibrant Makati Street Meet and the Makati City Fiesta, the stage will feature a stellar lineup of OPM heavyweights and breakthrough acts.

Headlining the massive celebration are pop-rock outfit Lola Amour, hip-hop group Morobeats, the Jewelmer Jazz Band and the jazz-rock and spoken-word collective Radioactive Sago Project. Organisers have teased that more surprise local and international acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Adding international flair to the weekend, the Main Stage will also feature French krautrock trio Meule as part of their Asian tour, alongside French-Vietnamese harpist Héloïse La Harpe. Furthermore, food and culture enthusiasts can explore the Taste of France French Market, which will line Paseo de Roxas from June 20 to 21, offering an authentic selection of artisanal goods, wine and French gastronomic specialities.

The FetePH2026 programme extends far beyond the weekend concerts, offering a diverse calendar of events throughout June:

Last June 10, the musical journey began with “Music Heals,” a wellness advocacy and sound-healing festival that leveraged the therapeutic power of sound at the Alliance Française de Manille. Renowned French pianist Maxime Zecchini also prepared two intimate performances, starting at The Writer’s Bar in Raffles Makati on June 14. This is followed by a recital at the Alliance Française de Manille on June 15.

The Asia–France Music Bridge Workshops will take place at Mint College in Taguig on June 19. This serves as a crucial networking and exchange initiative for creative entrepreneurs, cultural workers and emerging artists.

The month-long musical marathon concludes on June 29 with Project Yazz, a Manila-based jazz duo composed of bassist Bergan Nuñez and vocalist Faye Yupano. They will perform their signature OPM jazz reinterpretations at the Long Bar in Raffles Makati.

The music will also spill into the streets of Makati on June 26 with the fan-favourite Pocket Stages, offering deeply localised, genre-specific gigs in various intimate venues. Between June 20 and 28, the party goes nationwide with 23 NCR Stages and 66 stages across 33 Destination Stages. These will activate simultaneously across multiple provinces in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, bringing the unique Fête experience to thousands of music fans outside Metro Manila.

“Fête de la Musique has evolved into a true ‘community of communities’, uniting artists and music lovers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” says Olivier Dintinger, executive director of Alliance Française de Manille.

He notes that this 32nd edition belongs entirely to the people. Dintinger adds that by keeping the festival completely free and expanding its nationwide footprint, they are celebrating not just the universal language of music, but the vibrant, community-led spirit that makes the Philippine music scene extraordinary.
