In the world of folk music and love ballads, Teresa Teng's name holds her own even after close to 20 years since her untimely death.
Her music is still widespread with hits like 'When Will You Return?', 'The Moon Represents My Heart' and 'I Only Care About You' still being played by generations old and young today.
Not only was she a singer who wowed the world with her voice, she was also an a passionate countryman who stood by her home Taiwan during its most tumultous years. She also secretly hid a health disorder, which ultimately took her life when the singer was 42 and just got engaged to be married to the love of her life.
Relive her life and legacy this December with 'Teresa - The Musical' a musical theatre play dedicated to her pursuit of love, justice and passion at Resorts World Genting. Perry Chiu Woon will be stepping into Teng's shoes to tell the singer's story accompanied by her most famous classics.
