Together with other Filipino galleries like the metaverse-focused platform Ownly, web3 art gallery Meatspace, and NFT marketplace Likha, Galeria Paloma charges upcoming Crypto Art Week Asia 2022 with Filipino pride
Multi-genre gallery and art advisory firm Galeria Paloma participates in the upcoming Crypto Art Week Asia, making this the second programme in their planned lineup of highlighting the crypto art scene. This special exhibition, titled 1/1, will be held at the R1 Hallway of Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati in partnership with Samsung The Frame from September 30 to October 4, and online on the NFT art platform called Foundation from September 23 onwards.
"We are excited to feature an exceptional roster of artists for 1/1," says gallery director Kimi Rocha-Delgado. "Galeria Paloma is focused on bringing digital art to the forefront and presenting the work as viable art assets due to its inherent artistic merit. And with the blockchain infrastructure, there is now a solution to issues that arise in digital art ownership such as authenticity, proof of ownership, and artist royalties."

Similar to its previous exhibition for Carlos, Galeria Paloma will be presenting the NFT artworks via Samsung The Frame, a state-of-the-art television that is able to display digital artworks and photographed copies of physical art pieces beautifully and without glare—like in an actual frame!
"We are proud to partner with Galeria Paloma once again—this time to put a spotlight on notable Asian digital artists for Crypto Art Week Asia," says Mahir Al-Rubah, AV product marketing head of Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp. "This partnership enables us to bring to the fore how The Frame TV can display digital artwork the way they are meant to be seen and appreciated."

Meanwhile, the artworks are available for viewing and trading via the Foundation app. Ethereum is the cryptocurrency that will be used for the bidding and purchasing of the works.
Luis Buenaventura, one of the participating artists commemorated the Ethereum blockchain in his work that he submitted for 1/1. The blockchain holds sentimental value to Buenaventura's crypto career, having been one of the artists whose work is included in the first NFT art collection ever minted on the said blockchain. His Curio Cards was the first in the history of Christie's that sold for a whopping USD 1.2 million worth of Ethereum.
Other participating artists include AJ Dimarucot (graphic designer, art director, and illustrator), Win Magsino (photographer, Ani ng Dangal awardee), Cris Magsino (internationally acclaimed photographer), Raymond Lauchengco (photographer, performing and visual artist), Jopet Arias (painter and digital artist), Carlos (painter and sculptor), Isaiah Cacnio (motion designer and digital artist), Sevi Agregado (ten-year-old NFT artist who has made waves internationally), Holy Blood (self-taught graphic designer and artist), Sheila Ledesma (collage artist), and Wyn-Lyn Tan (a renowned visual artist from Singapore endorsed by Crypto Art Week Asia).
