Van Gogh, Venus de Milo and Klimt: check out how celebrities such as Rosé, Beyonce and Kylie Jenner pay tribute to their artistic heroes at the Met Gala 2026 red carpet

It is fashion’s most significant evening. Celebrities arrived at the 2026 Met Gala, which took place on May 4 at the Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, with their unique interpretations of this year’s theme, Costume Art, where organisers invited attendees to experiment with a lavish and whimsical dress code. The red carpet was undeniably creative, brave and bold—from Kylie Jenner’s gown, which paid direct tribute to the iconic Venus sculpture, to the subtler nods to Georges Braque and Vincent van Gogh seen in the looks of Rosé and Charli XCX. It was, in every sense, an artful night.
