One of the Philippines’ most respected photographers in architecture and design is Marc Henrich Go; and his being an architect himself, even topping the bar in the year he took it, is clearly an advantage. After years with the now-restructured firm Budji + Royal Architecture + Design, Go has decided to pursue his architectural career on his own, but still doing his other passion, photography.

“Our group was able to spot a diverse range of wildlife in different scenic surroundings,” he says. “Beautiful photo possibilities, yet the shot that I was going after was that of a magnificent lion, which we were not able to see in our many game drives.” Finally, after a long chase, nature’s wildlife graced them with a view they had been waiting for.
“That was when we spotted this majestic lion from afar. Fortunately, his face was turned towards the setting sun, his sharp eyes fixated on a herd of buffalos in the distance, and he was patiently waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike—calm, collected, dignified—like the king of the jungle.”
