The new 800 square foot flagship store at Pacific Place is an apt reflection of André Fu Living’s design philosophy and will showcase a wide range of homeware and lifestyle products for the luxury lifestyle brand

Renowned Hong Kong-based interior designer André Fu is launching a new flagship retail store at Pacific Place for his eponymous brand André Fu Living. Launched in 2019, the luxury lifestyle brand has always been known for its carefully curated collections of homeware products, which is also a staple in the homes of those with a discerning eye and a taste for the finer things in life.

Set to open in November this year, the new 800 square foot store will serve as a venue to express André Fu’s design ethos of relaxed luxury. The store is built upon the notion of “lifestyle from within”, which showcases the brand's full collections of furniture, textiles, lighting, and tableware, alongside Fu’s new work, OBJECTS—a separate run of material explorative editions by the designer to be exhibited at Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai this November.

“My approach to design rests on navigating cultures and styles to reflect our contemporary lifestyle. On that note, I have chosen my hometown Hong Kong as the destination for my very first retail venue—a city that continually inspires my appreciation for the world of design,” André Fu said in a statement.

In keeping with the designer’s philosophy, the flagship store features a unique design inspired by the Zen temple Kyoto, Ginkaku-ji. Entering the store through a foyer, guests will be greeted in a space imbued with a sense of intimacy and comfort, where Japanese aesthetics have been incorporated into the design throughout the store, as reflected in features such as the façade of timber bold lines and a highlighted circular window drawn from traditional Japanese homes, and limed silver oak pillars accompanied by a palette of antique brass and Turkish grey onyx.

A private salon is sitting pretty inside behind the Japanese Shoji screens, welcoming guests to explore and engage with Fu’s creations through dialogues in a stylish, intimate setting.

Speaking of the new flagship space’s design, Fu said: “I wanted to capture the timeless essence of the collections and immerse the guests in an atmosphere full of warmth and serenity. The soft geometry and simplicity of traditional Kyoto houses manifest the brand’s ideals of comfort, tactility and relaxed luxury."

André Fu Living flagship store will feature the best of the brand’s past four collections (Mid Century Rhythm, Artisan Artistry, Modern Vintage and Art Deco Garden), showcasing their timeless spirit and versatility to be mixed and matched for different interior styles.
