Four years ago, a photograph entitled ‘Hidden Smile’ made its way into the Women’s Museum of Hanoi. Featuring an elderly Vietnamese woman with laughing eyes poised playfully on the camera, the photo was taken by renowned French photographer, Réhahn, known as the ‘photographer who captures the soul’. "What attracts my attention is less about physical beauty and more about the spirit of the person," shares Réhahn. "I look for sparkling eyes, smiles, and the stories they tell. Surface beauty can be seen in a glance. True beauty takes a deeper look."
Today, Réhahn's “Ageless Beauty” project is fast gaining popularity for its refreshing take on beauty in a world that's obsessed with youth. "I spend time with my subjects to get to know them before shooting, to make them feel comfortable and to gain their trust. The more you spend time, the more you are able to capture their real personality.” Swipe right for 15 incredible snapshots that will warm your heart this International Women’s Day.
