The new Indonesia Design District PIK2 provides a collaborative playground for creative industries within the most comprehensive home and living centre
Indonesia Design District (IDD) is the latest sophisticated concept by Agung Sedayu Group (ASG) and Salim Group in the integrated township of Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 (PIK2). Natalia Kusumo, CEO of Commercial and Hotels Division 2 of Agung Sedayu Group (Amantara), said: “PIK2 will be the best place to work, live and play; here, Indonesia Design District is present as a one-stop travel destination. IDD also completes the various industrial sectors in PIK and provides a thriving place for global businesses.”
As part of the 12-ha megaproject, IDD consists of the 10-ha semioutdoor home living creative hub seamlessly integrated with the Erajaya Digital Complex (EDC) and Bandar Djakarta restaurant. “The Erajaya Digital Complex, which carries the tagline, ‘Indonesia’s Largest and Most Complete Technology, IoT, Gadgets, and Electronics Complex’, will arrive soon,” said Soesilawati, Director of Investor Relations at Agung Sedayu Group. “Flagship stores like Samsung, Erafone & More, iBox, LG, Vivo, Smartfren, Urban Republic, Xiaomi, Huawei, Infinix, JBL, Garmin, Logitech, and more will be here.”

Featuring more than 200 leading local and global brands, it will be the largest and most comprehensive home and living centre in Indonesia. Each brand, curated by Amantara as a subsidiary of ASG, sits in a luxurious standalone conceptual store connected by airy corridors amid lush gardens. Magran Living and MM Galleri, for example, are working with Alex Bayu for store designs, BIKA Living with Domisilium Studio, and Ecocity with Hadiprana Design.
More collaborations include Kayu Lapis Indonesia with Andra Matin, Viro World with Yori Antar and Insima Furniture with KantorGG. Other household names from the furniture, interior design, and supporting industries in IDD include Sleep&Co., SieMatic, KitchenArt, Rotaryana, Emporium Marble, Imagi Space, Vivere, Malinda Furniture Gallery, Pita by Laflo, The Hellenoz, Dekkson, ROCA, TOTO, MM Gallery, Box Living, Malka, Metaphor, Sub-Zero, Juno Home, Versailes, Vastu Home, and many more.

IDD also has various facilities such as a creative Marketplace, food and beverage pavilions, an art square and gallery, green lawns, an exhibition and event space, and a children’s playground. Overall, IDD features a green masterplan by Singapore-based DP Architects working with the local studio Seniman Ruang and rising young Indonesian designer AlvinT for the public furniture.
