Sweet dreams are made of the new drēmər bed by Hästens, which was unveiled at a private event for guests of Tatler Homes Singapore at the brand’s new Marina Bay Sands showroom

The secret to a good night's sleep? The answer lies in your bed. As the literal foundation of your sleep, having a quality bed and mattress cannot be negated, as the Tatler community discovered when they converged at the new Hästens showroom in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

Hosted by Tatler Homes Singapore together with the Swedish world-renowned brand Hästens, guests at the exclusive event discovered how the brand gained its reputation for offering luxurious hand-produced beds to the Swedish royal family as well as discerning billionaires, celebrities and tastemakers around the world.

Regional managing editor of Tatler Homes Singapore Hong Xinying warmly welcomed guests to the showroom, before Jan Ryde, CEO and fifth-generation owner of the family-owned company, gave a speech virtually.

Afterwards, the highlight of the evening was unveiled: the drēmər (dreamer) bed. Designed in collaboration with Canadian designer Ferris Rafauli, the bed features the finest natural materials and is made from layers of padding using a combination of flax, cotton, wool, and horsehair. Each bed takes Hästens’ artisans more than 300 hours to craft by hand and is covered in the brand’s trademark checkerboard fabric with its signature horse emblem.

Homeowners and designres including Design Intervention’s Nikki Hunt, Rajah & Tann Singapore’s Vikna Rajah and society darling Grace Wong, took a private walkthrough of the store. Guided by Hasten's experts, they learnt more about the unique qualities of each bed and were able to test out the comfort levels of different mattresses in the store.
