In a world where audio isn't just heard but felt, Monitor Audio stands as a sonic alchemist, turning engineering into art and sound into an immersive journey.
There are many perks to being an independent, family-owned, privately-run business. Without the constant pressure to deliver handsome profits and answer to shareholders, business owners are free to pursue their own creative paths and focus on doing what they do best.
For British audio specialists Monitor Audio, which was founded by Mo Iqbal in 1972, this means crafting the highest quality audio equipment such as loudspeakers, amplifiers, streaming devices and turntables on their own terms. The devices are all designed and built in-house.
The company is driven by passionate audiophiles, with a mission to make audio equipment as accessible and user-friendly as possible, despite being high-tech and high-spec. Because of this, their customer base ranges from novices all the way to the most demanding connoisseurs.

At the forefront of Monitor Audio’s range is the flagship Hyphn loudspeaker, sporting advanced technology and a distinctive design. It’s the most powerful loudspeaker the company has engineered in its half-century history. It was originally unveiled as a prototype during the company’s 50th anniversary in 2022, before undergoing further refinement to become a commercial product in 2023.
Draped in a thermoformed mineral and acrylic stone cabinet, Hyphn is more than a loudspeaker; it's a statement piece, with a design carefully milled and precision-crafted in-house in the UK. It incorporates the groundbreaking 'M-Array' technology and force-cancelling bass drivers to deliver an unparalleled audio experience.
In the real world, sound originates from a single point of origin, not separated between high and lows. Hyphn reproduces an ultra-realistic “point sound” where all the high, low and vocal sounds are projected from a single point. This is unlike other loudspeakers, where the high and low sound drivers are positioned in a vertical layout which doesn't allow for a realistic blending of sound.
Hyphn won the Innovation award 2023, given out by hifi+ magazine.

Above Designed, engineered and constructed entirely in-house in the UK, Hyphn is available in three luxury finishes: Matte Black, Matte White; and Matte Heritage Green.

The beauty of Cinergy lies in its adaptability and versatility. Recognising that no two home cinemas are alike, Monitor Audio created the system with a modular design that rotates as needed, giving users the flexibility to adapt to a horizontal or vertical install. There are also options to install the system onto structural or non-structural walls, or securing it to the floor. Cinergy is covered by a lifetime warranty.
