A special collaboration with KGID
A job well done often leads to happy clients who come back for more, and even spread the word within their own circles of influence. It was no different in the case of the owners of this six-bedroom bungalow, who were so pleased with the results of a prior renovation with KGID that they tasked the design firm to work on their new home.
Dubbed the Eave House, the abode is home to a couple and their two children. Among the requirements were bright, airy spaces conducive to family time and various customised fittings throughout the 4,400sqft residence.

Working closely with local firm Ming Architects, KGID introduced several functional and personalised elements that satisfy the family’s needs and enhance their daily lives. One specific client request was for a playroom on the first floor, which would double as a tuition room.
Located between the living area and dry kitchen so the grown-ups can socialise while keeping an eye on the kids, the playroom houses an extensive collection of dollhouses and other toys. It is sectioned off by large, semi-transparent sliding panels adorned with a stucco finish. The overall effect ensures a degree of visibility, yet hides any mess within the room.
