In a conversation with Tatler, the talented artisan spills her favourite spots in the home and gives advice on how she keeps it a unique and cosy sanctuary like no other.

What are your favourite spots in your home? Why?
I usually spend most of my time in the living room. This is where I enjoy my morning cup of coffee, catch up on my reading, and have a glass of wine in the evenings.

Are there parts of your home that you’d like to be changed? If there are, how would you like to change them?
I am happy with my home, although I am always on the lookout for interesting and unique pieces to incorporate in it.
What are your favourite artworks and furniture pieces in your home?
A painting by Jigger Cruz. It’s a very special piece for me as it’s the first painting my husband and I bought together as a couple, a year before we got married.
Where do you usually source items for your home?
Most of what we have at home are heirloom pieces from family; however, I love to frequent antique shops during our travels. I am always on the lookout for beautiful pieces.
How does your background in jewellery design help you in styling your home?
My home is a reflection of my love for antiques and modern artworks. It’s very personal and eclectic. As in jewellery, I select pieces for my home that are well-made, beautiful, unique and timeless.
How often do you entertain at home? Where do you usually entertain?
I enjoy entertaining at home for close friends and family. We normally begin the evening in the living room, followed by dinner in the dining room and a nightcap back in the living room.

It varies depending on the occasion. Generally, more traditional and classic yet relaxed.
What are your “essentials” or must-haves and must-dos when you entertain at home?
Good company, laughter, good food and music, and a lot of drinks!
Any tips on putting together a beautiful tablescape?
To make it more personal, I like to incorporate family heirlooms, as well as some vintage and antique pieces. Vintage china combined with silver flatware and crystal stemware atop a vintage Calado embroidered mantel. Candles are a must as they set the mood... fresh flowers and the glimmer and shine of silver pieces do wonders to a tablescape.
