Her prized finds can be found in The Modern Space, a shared venue between 1B2G and specialist art advisory firm Art Agenda. “I wanted to show off these amazing pieces alongside fine art and this organically gave birth to The Modern Space,” quips Wong, on the collaboration with Art Agenda.

2. Copan

Specialising in mid-century modern furniture from the ’50s to ’70s, this store features pieces personally sourced by the founders in various parts of Europe. These include chairs authored by Danish heavyweights such as Hans J. Wegner, as well as some unexpected finds from designers of the same period including Erling Torvits, H.W Klein and Illum Wikkelsø.

3. Möbler

Swedish sisters Emelie and Ellen Hedén have long admired the patina of antique pieces; they too, decided to turn their shared passion into a career with the opening of their vintage store. Featuring pieces hand-picked from Sweden, the showroom is a treasure trove of surprising finds, which include furniture and lighting pieces as well as decorative items such as vases, display plates and mirrors.

4. Journey East

Admirers of Asian-style vintage pieces should seek out the selection here. Besides retailing contemporary collections from brands including Qeebo, United Strangers and District 8, the store also carries lovingly restored finds that convey art deco and mid-century modern influences; these pieces were produced in Southeast Asia and originally commissioned by wealthy expatriate families during 1920s to 1960s.

Head over to Lorgan’s for timeless, classic pieces. The store offers a cornucopia of vintage pieces, from mid-century Scandi furniture to original pop art and retro decor.
