As we spend more time at home to curb the spread of the pandemic, our social media feeds are similarly reflecting our current stay-home circumstances. As it turns out, a new wave of Instagram selfies has sprung. Instead of idyllic holiday snapshots, selfies flaunting work-from-home outfits in front of statement mirrors are saturating social media feeds.
Appearing on the feeds of some of the most stylish tastemakers as they share their outfit of the day, these trendy mirrors often feature whimsical and playful designs that make them the focal piece of their rooms.
The Curvy Mirror is one such outstanding example. Designed by Swedish designer Gustaf Westman, the much-loved statement mirror appeals with its organic design.
Notably, the mirror's precursor is the iconic Ultrafragola Mirror by Italian architect Ettore Sottsass, founder of the Memphis Group and one of Westman’s design influences. Embodying certain key characteristics of the Memphis design movement, the mirror features repetitive wavy patterns and are available in a selection of dreamy pastel hues.
