Romantic, unabashedly maximalist with a touch of retro whimsy, Gucci as envisioned by creative director Alessandro Michele,  is practically the epitome of 21st century style.

And true to its zeitgeist spirit, the brand took to Instagram  to announce its new home collection—one that is as exuberant as its fashion collections. Fans of the Italian maison will soon get to dress their home in Gucci Décor, to launch in September online at gucci.com and at selected flagship stores.

The home collection comprises furniture pieces, wallpaper, folding screens, as well as accessories such as throw pillows, candles and trays that feature Gucci's iconic garden lexicon and a menagerie of animal motifs. Key pieces  include a Ligurian Chiavari chair, which features feline and floral embroidery on its velvet upholstered seat.

While a local Gucci representative confirmed that Singapore will not be carrying Gucci Décor for the time being, take heart that this home collection will be just a flight away. Should you wish to shop the collection in store, it will be available at boutiques in nearby cities such as Japan and Hong Kong, as well as the fashion capitals of Milan, Paris, London and New York.
