The nominations for the 2026 Tatler Homes Design Awards in the Philippines range from a tranquil family getaway in the heart of Cebu to a community gathering space in Davao—and an entirely new category in product design
Every year, the Tatler Homes Design Awards celebrates the pinnacle of design excellence in their respective markets. Now in its fifth year in the Philippines, the awards will spotlight exemplary projects featured on the Tatler Homes platform, whether in print or digitally.
This year’s nominees exemplify innovation and elegance, transforming spaces into works of art. Highlighted contenders will cover eight categories, including a new one for Best Product Design and the Tastemaker Award, which will be awarded to an individual on the night of the event.
Spanning the breadth of the Philippines, these projects can be found from Bohol to Cebu and have been realised by established firms and emerging talents, all bringing fresh perspectives and creative solutions to the Philippines’ thriving design landscape.

Best architectural concept nominees
This category judges projects on how well they are purpose-built to suit the owners’ needs while conveying a cohesive indoor-outdoor design scheme.
It should consider the site’s limitations and strengths in terms of spatial planning, overall aesthetics and practical considerations.
Moving beyond a basic shelter, these spaces are artful, creative expressions that marry necessity and aesthetics. Altogether, this category celebrates outstanding architectural concepts that redefine the spaces in which we spend our time.
Best sustainable design nominees
This category judges projects on how much they minimise their impact on the environment by efficiently using resources such as energy, water and materials. They should also promote healthy living through good indoor air quality and maximise natural light and ventilation.
The design considers the surrounding context and aims to preserve it while providing comfortable living spaces for its occupants.
Recognising the need to create consciously, this category highlights projects that embody a new striving for practical, ingenious solutions to modern climate challenges.
Best use of colour nominees
The winning residential project should demonstrate an astute understanding of spatial planning that is elevated by the placement and choice of colour in the home, whether by furniture, wall paint, finishings, wallpaper, artwork and other personal embellishments.
With millions of Pantone colours to choose from, colour can not only make or break a space, but it also alters moods and emotions. It takes sophisticated discernment to tastefully infuse colours in a design. As such, this category is all about how colour is best used to convey a feeling and make an impact.

Best showroom nominees
For this category, this project will be judged on how well it showcases an inspiring and thoughtfully crafted interior for a brand showroom.
The winning project should embody thoughtful spatial design while conveying a harmonious, tactile mix of furnishings to create a home-like environment to entice prospective buyers and encourage them to imagine these pieces within their abodes.
This award is not restricted to residential design, but celebrates a wide breadth of showrooms ranging from furniture, home appliances and even automobiles.
Best Living Space nominees
The top project should be thoughtfully designed to reflect its inhabitants’ personalities, lifestyles and needs. It balances aesthetics and functionality, creating a harmonious and comfortable living environment while maximising the potential of the available space.
Shortlisted from the country’s premier private residences, this category acknowledges intuitive design in the most used spaces of the home. It is the expanse in which one lives, dines, entertains and seeks refuge.
Best innovative design nominees
The project is judged on how it exceeds the details of its brief and showcases visually appealing, functional and sustainable spaces that enhance its intended purpose and the overall user experience.
As economist and Harvard Professor Theodore Levitt once said, “creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things.” This category showcases ingenuity in design execution and champions the great ideas that have become tangible.
Best Product Design nominees
This new category celebrates the most innovative, eye-catching furniture designs. With a balance of notable forms and exceptional function, this award is given to an item that displays Filipino craftsmanship.
This award emphasises furniture pieces that are not restricted to residential design, but include a wide range of applications from showrooms to offices.
