The Kallista showroom's debut in Manila was nothing short of a sensory delight, featuring exquisite new collections like “Central Park West”, gourmet dining by chef Jessie Sincioco, and the true essence of artful sophistication
Founded by Anthony Pontin and Norman Bell in 1979, Kallista has consistently stood out amongst conventional plumbing solutions by eschewing the white-and-chrome paradigm. Each thoughtfully engineered and crafted from only the finest materials, its diverse product portfolio ranges from the subtly artful to the strikingly unique, all the while preserving its timeless appeal.
Later acquired by Kohler Co in the late 1980s, the brand rose to even more prominence by collaborating with independent artists and luxury labels over the years. Kallista believes in pushing the envelope of design by partnering with the very best by working hand in hand with world-renowned designers, architects, and artists to elevate the market constantly.

An outstanding testament to this collaborative spirit is its exclusive bathroom offering with the globally acclaimed design firm, Robert A.M. Stern Architects. Combining their sensibilities, they have crafted a chic brassware series called Central Park West, which comprises multiple sink and bath faucets, a full range of shower components, and complementing accessories. This complete collection exemplifies the natural intersection of refined design and timeless luxury, showcasing the commitment to innovation and sophistication exhibited by the partnered brands.
“Central Park West expresses our firm’s modern classical aesthetic, matching the highest-end of the market in look, feel, and quality, but makes it more accessible to a broader audience,” shares Daniel Lobitz, a partner at Robert A.M. Stern Architects. “We distilled details from historical precedents to establish a distinctive modern yet traditional character.”
He adds how the company studied plumbing fixtures from the early 20th century and adapted them to give this series some of its signature notes, from the fluting on the handles, supports, and spouts to the monogram-style lettering that underscores its retro appeal.
This exquisite collection was recently launched in Manila, just in time for the opening of Kallista’s first-ever showroom here. Sanitec Import Ventures, Inc (SIVI), the luxury brand’s exclusive partner and distributor in the Philippines, proudly hosted the inauguration on September 21, 2023, gathering distinguished guests and discerning clientele for an evening that fused elegance, fine dining, entertainment, and design.
The allure of the event extended beyond the realm of plumbing. Renowned chef Jessie Sincioco treated guests to a sumptuous 7-course dinner that was nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece, complemented by the curated wines of sommelier Ronnie Joseph. Each dish and wine pairing, meticulously crafted to tantalise the senses, perfectly resonated with Kallista’s ethos of exceptional taste and attention to detail.

Yet, of course, the highlight of the evening would have to be the unveiling of Kallista’s remarkable collections, showcasing its dedication to craftsmanship in myriad forms. The diversity of its lineup speaks to its commitment to helping individuals create their one-of-a-kind, at-home oasis, which also resonates with the essence of Kallista’s “Live Artfully” campaign.
Aligned with the seamless fusion of artistry and functionality at the event, “Live Artfully” espouses infusing artistry and innovation into one’s everyday life—much like Kallista has successfully done since its inception. With this, the recently held celebration not only introduced Manila to the epitome of luxury in plumbing but also left an indelible mark, reminding everyone that art, elegance, and functionality can effortlessly coexist to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.
