A rare development of ultra-luxurious residences on Hong Kong Island’s Southside

With more than 50 years of experience, award-winning architect and interior designer Robert A.M. Stern, and his design team at his New York firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects, have lent their vision to an exclusive new residential project: One Stanley, located in Stanley, Hong Kong’s desirable low-rise coastal neighbourhood. Its modern, elegant residences incorporate state-of-the-art features and artful aesthetics in a striking new luxury landmark.

With rare attention to detail, this low-density project of 82 homes was conceived by Hong Kong developer K&K Property, which has previously won acclaim for high-calibre residential projects SkyeHi, Victoria Skye, Hampstead and 18 Rosewood.

Robert A.M. Stern Architects sees the planning and creativity embodied in One Stanley like that of a fine artwork. Homes from charming Mediterranean locations such as Mykonos lent inspiration to the design of the facade, where the key attraction is luxury ocean-side living.

“I wanted to make One Stanley a magnificent complex comparable to these world-class locations, so I insisted on designing the bungalows myself,” says Stern, who served as the Dean of the Yale School of Architecture from 1998 to 2016. “Through various details, materials, green scenery and architectural techniques, the design is in harmony with Stanley’s historical culture and surrounding nature, blending modern and traditional aesthetics.”

Limestone has been used on some of the world’s most iconic structures. Inspired by Athens’ Parthenon, the residences at One Stanley are built using exquisite limestone from Portugal and imbued with the same timeless grandeur and sturdy character.

The development includes 11 blocks of four-storey low-density residences containing up to 3,300 sq ft in saleable area, and 32 blocks of luxury detached houses ranging from 2,700 to 7,000 sq ft. Offering a high degree of privacy—for luxurious living at its finest—each resident will have access to a private lift, garden and roof, some even with private swimming pools, and a total of 155 parking spaces—all equipped with electric vehicle chargers.

Adding exotic colour to the project, the 32 detached bungalows are each named after Greek characteristics and uniquely designed. In the first phase of the project, the project will focus on promoting detached houses with a saleable area of less than 3,500 sq ft, and low-density characteristic residential units with a saleable area of more than 1,800 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft with four bedrooms or above, including garden duplexes, rooftop duplexes and rooftop flats.
