从印度尼西亚的竹制岛屿到墨西哥模仿迁徙鳐鱼形态的树屋,这五家竹构建筑度假酒店均采用了世界最古老的建筑材料之一进行打造,旨在呈献独具匠心的奢华腕表般精妙体验。

早在竹构建筑出现在酒店宣传册之前,竹材便已在热带地区支撑起当地人的居所长达数世纪之久。它是湄公河三角洲高脚屋、爪哇粮仓以及赤道地区乡土建筑的核心材料。无论竹材生长于何处,它都具备生长快、造价低以及在抗台风与防潮性能上优于大多数材料的卓越特质。近几十年来,竹构建筑的规模与地域分布已发生了显著转变。从印度尼西亚的私人岛屿到墨西哥太平洋沿岸,众多专业建筑师与设计工作室开始打造完整的竹构建筑度假酒店,其选址远超竹材传统的生长地。他们不仅借鉴了当地建筑工匠传承的精湛技艺,在诸多项目中更直接与这些工匠携手创作。

以下五家竹构建筑度假酒店涵盖了巴厘岛的贝壳状别墅,以及越南的一家海滨度假酒店,后者通过泥土熏制的竹竿与手工绳索巧妙拼接而成。

该度假村由John和Cynthia Hardy夫妇于2008年在阿勇河上方的沙扬岭(Sayan Ridge)创立,将拥有百年历史的爪哇柚木婚房与几乎完全由竹材打造的结构相融合。其中包括Moon House和New Moon House等较新落成的别墅,由John Hardy与女儿Elora共同设计,并与Elora后来创立的Ibuku建筑事务所合作完成。两者的外形均呈翱翔的新月状,顶部由编织竹条形成菱形网格天花板,令这一竹构建筑度假酒店的内部空间美轮美奂。

这座树屋直接环绕一棵活树而建,弯曲的竹制外壳包裹着一张带蓬床榻,悬于丛林之上的露天露台令人心旷神怡。宾客可通过竹制电梯前往度假村的天然泉水池。而由Elora Hardy设计的河畔餐厅,凭借竹拱与弧形铜瓦屋顶,被赞誉为“智能鸟类的杰作”,优雅地坐落在阿勇河湍流之上。目前该酒店拥有24间客房,包括由Ibuku亲自设计的竹制“巢穴”(Nests)系列。

在新西兰出生、现居巴厘岛的建筑师Miles Humphreys历时三年,将一座17公顷的荒岛打造成拥有20间竹制别墅的度假圣地。他与印尼竹工艺匠人Pak Indra以及巴厘岛建筑师Chiko合作,后者负责了度假村Dodo Bar的设计。尽管名为“渡渡鸟吧”,但其造型却取材自岛上海滩的锥形海螺。其表面覆盖了印尼传统的伊祖(ijuk)黑棕榈纤维,这种耐候性极强的材料向来是印尼(尤其是巴厘岛)寺庙屋顶的首选,令此竹构建筑度假酒店更显独特。

建筑团队在获取当地政府的特别许可后方能使用该材料。整个建筑共耗费约30,000件竹材,由280英尺长的驳船从爪哇和苏门答腊运抵,并在现场进行了防白蚁与防蛀处理。项目过程中几乎没有使用纸质蓝图,团队通过小型竹制比例模型以及1:1的实物模型,最终在20间别墅中精准复制了设计。其中一根弧形屋脊梁长度达43米,重量约500公斤,是通过对竹条进行剖切并重新装订,直至其固化为预定形状而成。

由Inspiral建筑事务所的Charlie Hearn设计,Ulaman巧妙地平衡了两种建筑语言:地面墙体采用就地取材并由邻近村民夯筑而成的夯土墙,而所有高于地面的结构则大量运用了度假村内自产的竹材。该度假酒店的瑜伽工作室以悬挑结构伸入悬崖边缘,支撑着一个抛物线形的竹制凉亭,仿佛漂浮在下方的山谷之上。作为一家竹构建筑度假酒店,它于2021年荣获联合国教科文组织凡尔赛建筑奖。

VTN建筑事务所设计了这座海滨度假村,运用了越南传统的竹材绑扎技术:纤细的Tam Vong竹竿需经泥浆浸泡与烟熏处理,随后以竹销钉组装,并用绳索绑扎稳固。沿着海滩错落分布的五座住宿小屋,其竹结构模组在地面预装完成后才被吊装至现场,以确保施工质量。

在海滩的尽头,餐厅凉亭由13个竹制壳体单元构成,每一单元由80根直竹竿组合,形成双曲抛物面屋顶,在天花板上荡漾出波浪般的韵律。茅草屋顶与取材于传统越南殖民地别墅的再生木百叶窗,完善了小屋的外观设计,成为东南亚竹构建筑度假酒店中的一颗璀璨明珠。

由Atelier Nomadic的首席建筑师Olav Bruin设计,这六间树屋于2021年增建至现有的生态度假村中。它们悬浮在海滨棕榈树之间,灵感源自近海迁徙的蝠鲼(Mobula rays)。坚固的Guadua竹材构成了主体结构、屋顶与立面百叶,而轻盈的Phyllostachys aurea竹则用于装饰墙面与外墙板。
