Above 2022 Gen.T honouree Beryl Chavez Li
  1. My industry never sleeps. I have to remotely interact with people in different time zones, so [I manage this by] taking naps and going for walks, switching off when I need to, delegating [what I can] and hiring [good people], because a lack of sleep can stand between complete professional and personal fulfilment.

  2. I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading as well as doing yoga and Pilates. Hiking, surfing and spending time in nature also re-energises me. People are sometimes surprised to find that I’m more adventurous than I look.
  3. When it comes to what I read, watch or listen to, it depends on my mood. My book selection ranges from fiction to non-fiction, including Kristin Hannah’s The Nightingale, Robert Iger’s The Ride of a Lifetime and Michio Kaku’s Parallel Worlds. As for shows, I like historical series such as Chernobyl and The Rise of Empires. I also like comedy and grew up on Adam Sandler movies. For music, I enjoy listening to Jan Blomqvist and Sol Rising. Their music enlightens and inspires me, and helps me get into deep thinking. I’m also a fan of podcasts such as Bankless, The Defiant and The Twenty Minute VC.

  4. I want to know more about the preservation of biodiversity and wildlife conservation. The 10 dimensions of the universe intrigue me and they include length, width, depth, time, probability and infinite possibilities. I want to learn all about life, balance and purpose.
