Take little green steps with Green Is The New Black, the organisers of The Conscious Festival, which promotes social and environmental responsibility
The Conscious Festival by Green Is The New Black returns from November 3 to 4 to inspire us to live more consciously. Held at eco-friendly hotel, Parkroyal on Pickering, the festival, which was launched in Singapore in 2015 and Hong Kong earlier this year, combines fun and education with a marketplace featuring more than 70 eco-conscious fashion, art, beauty and lifestyle brands. Free to the public, it will also boast food booths, live music and entertainment by local acts, and interactive activities to enhance your green knowledge.

Also on display within the same space is an exhibition of the second annual list of Green Warriors, which shines the spotlight on 30 noteworthy individuals from Singapore and Hong Kong who have been making an impact. For the first time, there will also be smaller artistic showcases such as an immersive virtual reality experience by impact investor, MeshMinds, and innovative works by local university students.
Diving deeper into specific topics of sustainability and mindful living is a series of ticketed workshops and talks powered by DBS that will address four main themes—live, work, consume and travel—and in the process, reveal interesting insights, stimulate conversations and provoke established perspectives about the matters.
With Generation T as exclusive lifestyle media partner, The Conscious Festival will see Generation T 2018 honouree Veerappan Swaminathan, founder of the Sustainable Living Lab, helm a 20min talk held on November 4. His discussion topic: rethinking design and services for the circular economy.
