With her gorgeous appearance and alluring voice, it should be no surprise that anyone who passed across Isyana would fall head-over-heels in love with her. Prestigious musical education

Isyana Sarasvati’s musical career wouldn’t be as brilliant as it is now if not for her hard work and prestigious education. It all started at the age of 16, when Isyana received a scholarship from the Singapore Government to study music performance at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, or NAFA, which she got a diploma from in 2013. Currently, she studies under a full scholarship at NAFA in collaboration with The Royal College of Music in London for her Bachelor of Music with Honours funded degree programme. It’s absolutely right to say that Isyana takes her education very seriously.

Career as soloist and recitalist

Before the public knew Isyana Sarasvati as an amazing pop singer and songwriter, she has also built a reputation as a soloist and recitalist. Her amazing performances include being a soloist in concert at the Resonanz Music Studio, soloist soprano with NAFA Orchestra in the NAFA Concert Series, soloist in Remembering Zubir Said, soloist at the Dinner en Blanc Event, and soloist in vocal recital “The Rising Star Concert Series”.

Experience in opera

Isyana’s dedication to music doesn’t stop with being soloist and recitalist, as she also takes part in opera. Among many of her amazing performances include Nanneta at the NAFA Opera Scene’s Commedia Lirica, Rosina and Papagena at the NAFA Opera Scene, air stewardess at the Opera Comique At The Airport with New Opera Singapore, Clara at the Grand Premiere of Clara with Ananda Sukarlan & Orchestra in Indonesia, and Lena in the opera La princesse jaune in Singapore.

Accomplishments in piano and electone

Isyana has also participated in numerous musical competitions that shaped her as the talented musician she’s become right now. Her accomplishments include being a semi-finalist in the Yamaha Electone Concours 2012 in Japan, champions at the Grand Prix Asia Pacific Electone Festival three times in 2005, 2008, and 2011, first prize in the Piano Competition in West Java for four times, and National Finalist in the Yamaha Piano Competition for two times.

South Korea fame

Who would ever thought that Isyana Sarasvati’s popularity would spread to South Korea? For all her hard work and dedication, Isyana won the Best Asian Artist Indonesia award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2016.
