And this has had widespread effects on industries and countries, from employers to retailers.
In the August 3 edition of our Cloud Talk webinar series, we invite a marine biologist and a sustainable tourism entrepreneur to discuss how individual and local solutions can significantly impact global issues, particularly climate change. They will also share about their entry into environmental advocacy, the challenges they face in advancing their cause and why climate change is as much a global issue as it is a personal one. The speakers
Rolex Laureate Dr Emma Camp is a marine biologist, whose research focuses on the physiology, ecology and biogeochemistry of coral reefs. She is the deputy team leader of the Future Reefs Program within the Climate Change Cluster at the University of Technology Sydney, where she started the Reef Biogeochemistry Group in 2020. Aside from championing the protection of coral reefs, Camp is also a National Geographic Explorer and passionate about the involvement of girls and women in STEM.
Natalie Chung is the co-founder of V’air, a social enterprise that promotes sustainable tourism and climate education. It offers ecotours in Hong Kong, environmental education workshops and events, and travel recommendations with insights on nature conservation through its online platform. Come 2023, Chung will travel alongside renowned explorers like Sylvia Earle to Antarctica to discover the climate impact on the region.
