One of Asia’s most highly regarded journalists and new media entrepreneurs will talk about values and staying true to yourself through challenging times

As the co-founder of Rappler, a leading news organisation in the Philippines, and the former CNN Bureau Chief in Manila, Maria Ressa is a globally respected journalist, best known for her courageous fight against the spread of disinformation.

We are delighted to confirm Ressa as the closing speaker at our upcoming virtual event, Gen.T Stream. Taking place on May 15, the event is themed “Reimagining our shared future: Taking control of the next chapter”. The Covid-19 pandemic has presented us with a unique opportunity to reassess the way we live. Our speakers will tackle this challenge head on, providing new ideas for how to move forward with purpose post-pandemic.

During the fireside chat, Ressa will discuss the impact of social media on Asian society, how to build resilience as an entrepreneur, the danger of "situational ethics" and the importance of staying true to your values.
