Gen.T partnered with charity Room to Read to raise money for childhood literacy

This year’s Connect To Change event in Hong Kong was in partnership with Room to Read. Synergising with the charity's own Fastest Executive Race—an annual fitness-themed fundraiser—the Hong Kong Connect To Change event saw three wellness experts from the Gen.T List come together to lead attendees in a sweaty fundraiser for the global literacy charity.

Vanessa Cheung, co-founder of CrossFit Asphodel, hosted the evening at her gym and led the CrossFit session with her husband and Asphodel co-founder Cris O'Brien. World renowned yoga instructor Yogananth Andiappan led a yoga session that helped the group stretch out and wind down, while Gianni Melwani wrapped up the evening with a group meditation experience.

Connect To Change is a social initiative from Generation T. We bring the Gen.T community together to create positive impact in each of our markets across Asia, partnering with local charities and activating the skills of our honourees to benefit the charity and help its founders achieve their goals.

Gen.T have had a longstanding partnership with Room to Read, last year Gen.T raised US$35,000 to build a library in Cambodia with Room to Read and we will be taking a delegation of Gen.T honourees to officially open the library in 2020.
